I don't mean e-mails. I don't mean adverts. I don't mean the magazines you subscribed.
I mean real, actual letters written by real, actual people. People who took their time to sit down over a piece of paper and write down their thoughts and feelings. People who give you something you can hold on to. And isn't it the most sensational feeling, finding old letters that you almost forgot about years later and re-reading them?
I think it's a shame that our generation has neglected the habit of writing letters. Letters are emotions captured on paper, not just pixels dancing around on your screen.
Maybe we should take some time and tell the people we love how much we really appreciate them. In a letter. We take way too many people for granted. Whatever you feel, whatever you want to tell somebody, do it today. Tomorrow is never guaranteed.

Genuinely agree with this so much - I've almost forgot what it feels like to wait days for a letter and then to have something in the post, with your name on it... your heart racing.
AntwortenLöschenReally glad I came across your blog, followed. <3
